The backend functionality for marking the product  images

The Problem | The client is a furniture company that specializes in designing and selling custom-made furniture and home decor items. With a team of over 150 employees, efficiency is paramount to ensure that end users receive exceptional services. However, the current backend system presents a significant challenge. Users struggle to efficiently locate images and add hotspots for each product, leading to delays and frustration.

The Solution | To address this challenge, the web app offers a streamlined process that empowers the catalog team (which is the user persona) to work efficiently. User persona can effortlessly access and manipulate product images, add hotspots and import or modify product specifications, including product size, color, material and variant options.

The app also offers polygonal drawing capabilities which allows the user to precisely define when hotspots appear on the frontend website by drawing a polygon around a particular object and what kind of information is shown. This feature ensures a smooth user experience, making it easy for users to navigate various products.

My Undertakings | My primary responsibility was designing the backend functionality for product image marking. I worked closely with the client to understand their factory team's needs: efficient product photo marking with hotspots to minimize delays. Collaborating with the development team, we explored cost-effective solutions.

Following conversations with the catalog team, we incorporated their feedback during the brainstorming phase with the development team. Once a consensus was reached, I created an interactive prototype of the wireframe, which was followed by the user interface design phase.

Through iterative discussions and collaboration with engineers, we refined the concept and conducted user testing to gather crucial feedback and enhance the designs. This approach enabled us to deliver a solution that met the client's needs and streamlined their internal processes.
